What is Square?

Square makes it easy for you to accept credit cards online with no commitments or monthly fees. Funds are deposited as soon as the next business day and you can get a free card reader to take payments in person. 💰


How to connect Square to NiceJob?

  1. Go to the Apps page in NiceJob's Product Settings: https://app.nicejob.com/settings/product/apps

  2. Click "Connect" on the Square App listing

  3. Log in to your Square account when prompted

  4. Authorize NiceJob to access your Square data

  5. Select the Square account that you want to connect

  6. You are connected! 😃

What does the Square connection do?

  • NiceJob will automatically import your list of people, employees, invoices, and payments connected to invoices.

  • By default, upon sending an invoice, NiceJob will automatically trigger a review request campaign to that customer 😎 Please note: if you are charging customers by cash you would need to send them an invoice via Square to automatically import them into NiceJob and trigger a review invite.

  • NiceJob will sync all future people, employees, invoices, and payments connected to invoices from Square into NiceJob

How do I know if the connection is working?

The connection is working if your customers appear in NiceJob, as well as your recent customers (invoice sent in the last 14 days) have been automatically enrolled in the Get Reviews Campaign.

What do I do if I think the connection is not working?

Just email us at support@nicejob.com or click the blue chat icon in the NiceJob app and let us know! We'll test it and make sure you're up and running.

How do I remove the connection?

Simply click the “Manage” button next to the Square icon on the “Apps” page under “Product Settings” in the NiceJob App and select “Disconnect” from the pop-up screen that appears. NiceJob retains previously imported information but will no longer import contact information from Square. No more automated review request campaigns will be sent.

Does Square send employee data to NiceJob so my reviews can get automatically attributed to the right employee?

Yes! If you have employees assigned to invoices, that data is sent to us via the integration which allows us to automatically attribute reviews received to the right employee. Learn more about employee attribution and how you can make use of it here.

Do my customers get imported to individual locations?

Unfortunately not, on connection NiceJob will import all your customers from Square across all locations.

How do I prevent invites from being sent to certain customers?

At any point before you send an invoice you can prevent that customer from being automatically enrolled in a review campaign by going to their profile within NiceJob, clicking the ellipsis symbol (...) next to their name and clicking the “Block” button. This will prevent this client from being enrolled in any review campaign until they are unblocked.
