Step-by-Step Instructions For installing the Collect leads Widget 🛠️
Navigate to Settings>>Product Settings>> Widgets >> Collect Leads.
Option 1: Installing on an HTML Website
Follow these steps if you are directly editing your website's source code.
Step 1: Add the Widget Script
Log into your NiceJob account and go to Settings > Product Settings > Widgets.
Locate the Collect Leads widget and copy the provided JavaScript code snippet.
Open your website’s HTML file and paste the snippet into the head section (ideally just before the closing head tag).
Step 2: Trigger the Modal with the nj-lead Class
You can convert any existing button or link on your site into a pop-up trigger simply by adding nj-lead to its HTML class attribute.
Button example:
<button class="nj-lead">Get an Estimate</button>Link example:
<a href="#" class="nj-lead">Click here for a quote</a>
Option 2: Installing on a WordPress Website
Follow these steps if your website is built on WordPress.
Step 1: Install and Connect the Plugin
Log into your WordPress admin dashboard and navigate to Plugins > Add New.
Search for NiceJob, then click Install Now and Activate.
Select the new NiceJob item in your WordPress admin sidebar menu.
Copy your Company ID from your NiceJob company profile page, paste it into the designated field, and click Save.
Step 2: Add the Lead Widget to a Page
Using the Classic Editor: Open the post or page, click the NiceJob logo icon in the toolbar, and select the Collect Leads shortcode to insert it directly into your content.
Using Page Builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, Beaver Builder): Add a Shortcode or Custom HTML block to your layout and paste
[nicejob-lead].💡 Pro Tip: Are your shortcodes or custom HTML snippets not working in your WordPress page builder? Swap out the Shortcode or HTML block for a standard Text block. Page builders often parse shortcodes and script tags better inside plain text containers!
Customizing the WordPress Shortcode
You can customize the appearance and behavior of the lead trigger by adding attributes inside the shortcode brackets:
type: Renders the trigger as an anchor link (
a) or a button (button). Default isa. Example:type="button"text: Specifies the visible button or link text. Default is
"Click here for an estimate". Example:text="Get a Free Quote"class: Applies custom CSS classes for theme styling. Example:
class="btn-primary align-right"
Complete Shortcode Example: [nicejob-lead type="button" class="button-right button-blue" text="Click here for an estimate"]
