How to Connect HubSpot to NiceJob and what happens when you do

What is HubSpot?

HubSpot is a leading customer relationship management (CRM), marketing, sales, and customer service software company with a simple mission: to help companies grow better.

How to connect HubSpot to NiceJob

  1. Go to the Apps page in NiceJob's Product Settings:

  2. Click "Connect" on the HubSpot App listing

  3. Log in to your HubSpot account when prompted

  4. Authorize NiceJob to access your HubSpot data

  5. Select the HubSpot account that you want to connect

  6. You are connected! 😃

What does the HubSpot connection do?

  • NiceJob will automatically import your list of contacts, past deals (called proposals in NiceJob), and owners.

  • NiceJob will sync contacts, owners, and all future won deals (proposal) events from HubSpot into NiceJob

Option 1: Set up automation

  • If you would like to automatically trigger a review request campaign upon winning a deal (proposal) just email us at or click the blue chat icon in the NiceJob app - and we will set this up for you 😃

  • We can also trigger a review request campaign towards past customers with a won deal (proposal) associated with them, within the last 14 days.

Option 2: Send out invites manually

You can manually send out review invites anytime as shown below

  • Employees

  • Proposals (Deals)

    • Status (accepted/rejected)

*Please note: if in Hubspot you assign a Deals Pipeline stage probability to 'Won' then when the deal moves to this stage it would create a Proposal status = accepted event in NiceJob. If you assign a Deals Pipeline stage probability to 'Lost' then when the deal moves to this stage it would create a Proposal status = rejected event in NiceJob.

You can edit your Deal Pipeline stage probabilities by navigating to Settings > Data Management > Objects > Deals > Pipelines (tab)

Frequent Questions

How do I know if the connection is working?

The connection is working if your customers and associated deals (proposals) appear in NiceJob,

If you set up automation, customers with a won deal (proposal) in the last 14 days have been automatically enrolled in the Get Reviews Campaign.

What do I do if I think the connection is not working?

Just email us at or click the blue chat icon in the NiceJob app and let us know! We'll test it and make sure you're up and running.

How do I remove the connection?

Simply click the “Manage” button next to the HubSpot icon on the “Apps” page under “Product Settings” in the NiceJob App and select “Disconnect” from the pop-up screen that appears. NiceJob retains previously imported information but will no longer import contact information from HubSpot. If you set up automation, no more automated review request campaigns will be sent.

Can I prevent invites from being sent to certain customers? (Automation only)

At any point before you close a deal you can prevent that customer from being automatically enrolled in a review campaign by going to their profile within NiceJob, clicking the ellipsis symbol (...) next to their name and clicking the “Block” button. This will prevent this client from being enrolled in any review campaign until they are unblocked.

Does HubSpot send employee/owner data to NiceJob so that my reviews can get automatically attributed to the right employee/owner?

Yes! If you have employees/owners assigned to deals in HubSpot, that data is sent to us via the integration which allows us to automatically attribute reviews received to the right employee/owner. Learn more about employee attribution and how you can make use of it here.

Is there a limit to the amount of contacts NiceJob can import from HubSpot upon connection?

No, there is no limit.
