The full Rules Composer for Get Repeats can look very daunting, but I'm here to help break it down for you 😊
One of the main things to note is that all the rules are setup to work for all users by default, so they include a section for:
Bookings
Visits
Payments
Invoices
Cases
But, generally each user only uses one of these triggers. You can safely ignore the others, or delete them if you prefer.
Here is just the Booking Entry Rules highlighted:
And just the Booking Exit rules Highlighted:
I am going to just look at the booking rules for example going forward.
One of the main use cases for advanced rules is if you want to invite more historical customers. The default invite when you launch the campaign is customers. For that you want to increase the number in "Time completed in the last X Days"
Any customers between the "Beyond" and "Within" time range will be invited.
If you want to update the time between last visit and the Repeats enrollment, you want to update "Time completed is beyond XXX days". Just ensure you update the other two time ranges to be 1 day less as well, as see here with 90, 89 and 89.
Also new to the Repeats rules is a default campaign with rules on individual messages, which are on step 3 & 4:
These rules are in place to ensure only customers with either Bookings or Visits get a full 4 message campaign.
We don't recommend sending a full campaign to customers if you're using Payments, Invoices or Cases, as we will only know to remove them when a payment is made, or invoice created, which generally won't be until the job is done. With Bookings and Visits we know when they are booked and can remove customers from the campaign right away, enabling us to send a longer campaign.
If you are using Bookings or Visits, you should update the campaign step rules on message 3 & 4 to match your Campaign Entry rules to ensure they trigger as expected.
Of course, you're also welcome to completely delete the default rules and make your own rules from scratch too! 😃
