How to Send an Invite From the Stories Page

From the Stories page, you can seamlessly enroll customers in the campaign of your choice, including Review, Referral, Repeat Business, or NPS survey campaigns.

Follow these step by step instructions to enroll a customer in the campaign of your choice. 🌟


Adding a New Customer and Inviting them to Leave a review

Step 1: Navigate to the Stories Page and click Invite customer

Step 2: Select the campaign you would like to enroll the customer in.

Note: Your campaign options will vary based on your plan and any custom setups you’ve created. For example, some of the campaigns like "Get Repeats" are only available on the Pro Plan. Want to see what else is available? You can compare all our plans at get.nicejob.com/pricing.

Step 3: After you have selected the campaign you would like click the blue invite button in the right hand corner of the pop up.

Step 4: To add a new contact select add new contact.

Step 5: Enter the name, email, and phone number of the person you would like to invite.

Pro tip: You can also add a photo of the beautiful work you do to the review invite by clicking "add Photo", which increases your chances of winning a review! 📸

Step 6: Click 'Add and Invite' and you are good to go! Your customer will receive a text message immediately asking them to leave you a review followed by up to three follow up emails over the next 14 days.

How to invite an existing customer

If the customer has allready been added to NiceJob. They can not be added again because they already exist in NiceJob. ❌ If you try to add a customer that already exists you will get an error message that looks like this:

Don't worry you can invite them again by searching the customer. There are two ways to search the contact and invite them again. 👍 Check out this article on inviting an existing customer to a campaign for more details.

  1. Search the customer from the "invite customer" button on the stories page

    You can easily use the search bar from Step 4 to search for the name or email of the customer

Select the customer you would like and click the blue invite button.

FAQ

Can I search for an existing customer by phone number?

No. Currently, NiceJob allows you to search for customers by name or email address only.

What campaigns can I invite my customers to?

Your campaign options depend on your NiceJob plan:

  • Standard Reviews Plan: You can enroll customers in the default "Get Reviews" campaign or any custom review campaigns you have created.

  • Pro Plan: You have access to the full suite of campaigns, including:

    • Reviews: Standard review request sequences.

    • Referrals: Campaigns that encourage customers to refer friends.

    • Get Repeats: Automated reminders to book your services again.

    • NPS Surveys: Net Promoter Score surveys to measure customer loyalty.

    • Custom Campaigns: Any tailored workflows you’ve built for your brand.

Can I manually invite a customer to receive a gift?

Not directly. At this time, the Gifting feature is designed to work through automation. It is triggered via integrations with platforms like Jobber or QuickBooks Online.

Pro Tip: While you can’t manually trigger a gift "invite" like a review request, you can set up automation rules so that gifts are sent automatically when a job is completed or an invoice is paid. Learn more about gifting integrations here.

What do I do if it says the campaign is paused?

If a campaign is paused, you won’t be able to enroll new customers in it.

To fix this, navigate to the Campaigns tab to un-pause the campaign; once active, you can begin inviting customers immediately. (if the toggle is green that means it is on)
