What is the Stories Page?

Understanding the Stories Page. Send invites & ask for reviews, monitor reviews, respond to reviews, upload photos, share reviews and more.

Written by Brittany Morris

The Stories page is the central page in NiceJob where all customer reviews collected across your connected review platforms (such as Google) are imported, managed, and where you send review invitations to your clients.

When a customer leaves a review on an external review site, NiceJob automatically syncs a copy directly to your Stories page.

What You Can Do on the Stories Page

Send Invites & Ask for Reviews

  • Send Review Requests: Send email and/or SMS invitations directly from the Stories page to enroll customers into Review, Referral, Get Repeat, or NPS campaigns. (Referral, Get Repeat, and NPS are all Pro Plan Features)

  • Manage Contacts: Search existing contacts or manually add new ones to send invites for reviews.

Monitor & Sort Reviews

  • Centralized Review Monitoring: Track all incoming customer reviews imported automatically from your connected review channels.

  • Use Filters: Use the left-hand menu to sort and filter reviews by rating, platform, date, or status.

Respond to Reviews

Upload Photos & Create Visual Stories

Share Reviews

Add Service Tags and the Location to Reviews and Photos

Adding service and location tags to your stories in NiceJob helps categorize your work, makes your content easier to find, is used in social sharing, and gives your local SEO a boost!

Track Review Growth Since Signing Up

  • Monitor Overall Growth: Track your total review count and rating improvements over time from the moment you signed up with NiceJob.

Publishing & Unpublishing Reviews

Control which customer reviews appear on your website widgets and NiceJob Microsite directly from the Stories page:

Attribute Reviews to Team Members

Assigning reviews to specific employees helps you track team performance on your Leaderboard, recognize top performers, and automate review attributions.

  • Automatic Attribution via Invites: If a review is generated from a NiceJob review invite, it automatically attributes to the team member who sent the invite (or the employee attached to the job in your connected CRM).

  • Manual Attribution: You can manually assign or reassign any review directly from a review card on the Stories page by selecting the team member's name.

Open a Contact Profile

Click the customer's name on a review card to view their profile, see their invite history, and edit their contact details.

This is helpful to:

  • Verify Invites: Check if a review was generated from a NiceJob review invite.

  • Review Matching: See exactly which customer contact the review was matched to.

  • Message History: View past email and SMS messaging history sent to that customer.

FAQ

What does "Reached" mean?

Reach shows the total number of unique people who have seen a story across the following channels:

  • Facebook

  • Your website

  • Your NiceJob Microsite/landing page

  • Other third-party websites displaying the story

Note: Reach currently does not track views from Twitter/X, LinkedIn, or individual review platforms (such as Google).

Why is a review still showing in NiceJob if it was removed from Google?

If a customer deletes or removes their review on Google, Facebook, or another connected platform, NiceJob keeps a copy of that review on your Stories page.

  • NiceJob imports review data into your account at the time it is submitted. Once imported, the review remains in your account unless you manually delete it. This ensures you have a permanent record, which is especially useful when reporting removed or policy-violating reviews to platforms like Google.

  • If you prefer not to retain or display a review that was deleted on the source platform, go to your Stories page, locate the review card, and select the option to delete it.

  • To sync your imported review history with the current state of a review site, you can disconnect and reconnect the platform under Settings > Product settings > Review sites.

What does the purple star next to a review mean, and will it show on Google?

A purple star indicates that the review was left directly through the NiceJob Review Option. This channel acts as a convenient alternative for customers who do not have accounts on other review sites.

  • Will it show on Google? No. Posting direct reviews to Google violates Google's policies.

  • Where does it appear? If you have auto-sharing enabled, these reviews automatically post to your social media channels. They will also display on your NiceJob Microsite and any active NiceJob website widgets.

Why have my Google reviews stopped importing to NiceJob?

It can take up to 24 hours for a new review on Google to sync and appear in NiceJob. If it has been longer than 24 hours, refreshing your Google connection usually resolves the issue:

  1. Go to Settings > Product Settings > Review Sites.

  2. Click Manage next to Google.

  3. Select Disconnect in the pop-up window, then refresh your screen to ensure it has disconnected.

  4. Wait a few minutes, then reconnect your Google Business Profile.
