Best Practices to Increase Your Review Conversion Rate 📊

Here are some tips to increase the probability of your customer leaving you a review

Written by Brittany Morris

Getting more customer reviews doesn't have to be complicated! By making a few quick tweaks before and after you finish a job, you can make it super easy and inviting for your happy customers to leave feedback.

Here are 9 simple ways to boost your review replies:

1. Give them a quick heads-up 🗣️

Before you leave the job site, mention to your customer that a review link is heading their way over text and email. Getting a quick "Sure!" in person builds trust so they're expecting the message and ready to open it.

2. Add a picture of the job 📸

Visual context is a powerful reminder of quality work! When using the Invite customer button on the Stories page, attach a picture of the finished project—you can do this manually or seamlessly through our CompanyCam integration. Customers who receive an image with their invitation are 25% more likely to leave a review. The photo will automatically appear in your SMS and email requests.

3. Put in their full name 👤

Always enter both the first and last name into the system. The message will still warmly address them by their first name, but having their last name helps the system auto-match their review and stops sending them reminder messages once they've posted 📬

4. Show off your logo 🎨

Upload your logo under Settings>>Company It will automatically be added to your first two email invites. Recognizable branding helps customers instantly connect the email to the great service they just received.

5. Send to both text and email 🤳

Try to collect both a mobile phone number and an email address for every customer—giving them two ways to see your invite doubles your chances of getting noticed! If you only collected a phone number, check out how to set up SMS follow-ups when there is no email address available here

6. Give them choices on where to review 👌

Connect all your profile pages (Google, Facebook, BBB, etc.) on the Review Sites page. The more options they have, the easier it is for them to drop a review on a site they already use.

7. Make your messages sound like YOU ✍️

While the default templates work great, tweaking the text to match your team’s friendly, personal style can make a difference. Authentic messages can convert better! Learn how to edit campaign messages here

8.💡 Invite everyone you have done work for

Review generation can be a volume game! The more invites you sent the more reviews you tend to get. Make sure you're sending an invite to every single customer.

9. Consider Turning Off Feedback Routing 🔀

If you have Feedback Routing enabled, try turning it off. While Feedback Routing allows the option for private feedback, it adds an extra step (the 1-10 NPS rating) before sending customers to a public review site. Some customers drop off after rating without finishing the review step. Disabling this feature can streamline the process and increase your total volume of public reviews.
